We always use Wilderness Aware and brought new friends with us this time. One person had some issues with balance and they were able to work with him and put him in the middle. The waters were flowing great. Our staff person was amazing! Making the reservations and getting ready couldn’t be any easier. We can’t wait to go again. Decided to go white water rafting on the Salt River with Wilderness Aware. Highlight of the trip! Scenery and rafting were spectacular! Our guide, Justin, was very skilled and knowledgeable of the area. He shared entertaining, historical stories of the local people and sites during our 10 mile trip down the river. Ben was a very cool and skilled guide with great stories about the river and the canyon as well as his own adventures during high waters. The upper salt river has breathtaking views and it is a reminder of the diverse beauty that is AZ. At lunch we had the bonus of a visit from a momma bear who was fortunately on the other side of the river from us. She lingered and then lumbered up the hill and back to her cubs. Awesome. We will do it again when we have another year of good snows like we did this year. Next time, we will skip the stop for lunch and take the fast track. read less
